I am in a really bad living situation, and I can't afford to move out, plus, I care for my ailing monther. Living with us is a horrendous mega ***** from hell I call the beast in the basement, or monster in the basement. It's a sibling my mom was dumb enough to let move back in a few years ago. This person is a nightmare to live with. She is miserable and mean. She verbally abuses us and belittles us over every little thing we do. She has had a long time substance abuse problem and has lost everything because of it. We do not get along and I've had to take many precautions against her to make sure she doesn't get her hands on mine and my mom's money, among other things. I already caught her using my mom's credit card while my mom was laid up in the hospital. Now, she does spiteful little things in the house to try to tick me off. Her latest is dialling 411 calls at $2.00 a call on purpose just to hike up the cable bill on me. The only way to kick her out is to have my mom do it, and she refuses to kick her out, even though my mom is miserable and uncomfortable with her there. Can anyone help us? Does anyone know how I can prevent 411 calls from being made on my account?

I feel like people are expecting the bride and groom to bend to there every wish. Does anyone else feel that wedding guests are becoming unappreciative? We are having a small JOP wedding with 50 guests and then lunch directly after at a resturant where we've created a cooked to order menu for everyone with four different dishes but they can order how they like...people are still complaining that it's a lunch wedding on Saturday afternoon!!

So far the answers to my questions have been OK but when I read a lot of other questions and answers, I'm taken aback in a way because all the answers are pretty much the same. So many of the answers are answered with westernized traditions and inside the box thinking if someone is looking to do something different. I'm also curious to know what people consider tacky because I've come across that word a lot when people describe their weddings.

My husband, son and I were invited to his cousin's wedding. We don't see this cousin very often. We just met her fiancee for the first time last September or October, even though they were together for a lot longer. We don't see this cousin on an annual basis never mind now. She is getting married for her second time in another state than where we live. We don't have alot of money, and we have to pay for a hotel, gas, food, clothes, etc. It's an evening wedding so I would have to buy an appropriate dress. What is an appropriate monetary gift for them? Keep in mind, we did go to her engagement party and bought a small gift, and now she is registered for a full bridal registry as if she were a new bride just starting out. Any advice on a wedding gift to top this off?

Thanks to all who replied to my recent post! I still need more people to help me with this! Here is what I need to do good people: My boyfriend and I have been dating for over 2 years, and it just hit me for what to do for him this Valentines Day. Where it can be seen by the public, I'm going to creatively write "Anna Loves Seth" or "I love You" ..something like that. We have this grafitti wall in town where everyone writes stuff so I'm going to write a message for him on there....things like that. THE POINT: I want to have those things written in DIFFERENT STATES and get pictures of them so I can make a card that says "Declaring my love to the world". And have a collage of pictures of the places those things are written. EXAMPLE: My friend in Oregon snapped a pic that said "I love Seth" that she wrote in the snow for me and sent it to me from her iphone. My girl in Tennessee wrote it on the Virginia/Tenn line in chalk. So for you: its kind of a FAVOR FOR A STRANGER. but email me if you can do this. I don't care where you live. A simple note taped to a pole would work for me! Or get creative with it. YOU WOULD OFFICIALLY BE AMAZING! . I want this to be my declaration because we are getting married next year!!! Theannahope@yahoo.com OR Missmatched2008@aol.com Thank you so much!!!! I would so appreciate it! and yes, you can steal the idea haha Boyfriends, fiances and husabnds everywhere will love it!

How bad could this mess us up in terms of cost if we are wrong? And what are some other ways to get them to take down the cost?

  • I was wondering something. Why is it that the death of a child sometimes drives parents apart instead of?

coming together in their grief? I can't imagine anything worse than losing a child, but when the marriage then dissolves, that is just double the trouble. I apologize if this has brought up old wounds. I was just wondering. I know this has happened in marriages that had appeared to be very happy before the tragedy.

I want to know if anyone has listened to their parents and NOT married their future intended and what were the consequences? OR if you went through with the marriage, what happened? Lived happily ever after? Or did it turn out your parents were right and it all ended? Just a bit of mere curiosity!! :) My parents love my fiance :) There was a bit of a dodgy time about 4 years ago but that was before we were engaged or anything. It's all sorted now though. FH went to stay with my mum for a week last week and he said it was great! :) I am 22 now, getting married in just under 2 years time. The question was pretty much just interest because I was reading through other people's questions and over the past couple of days, there have been a few questions about parents and fiance(e) clashes. I think I just wanted to know how often are parents right? Like, if pretty much every time your parents don't get along with your partner and you marry anyway, does it work out? Or can our parents always see what we can't when we are blinded by love? Mayank K - Not sure I understand your answer....I am a girl. I am the fiancee so I can't really be 'Mr Perfect' to my wife! Lol. Look at my avatar and my name - B2B. Bride to be! Maybe read my question again....

What is wrong with people don't you know if a dog is sick or hurt you go to the Vet? If you cant afford the Vet you really should not have a dog. Sorry but its the truth they deserve to be taken care of. I am so sick of people getting dogs then not taking care of them, They tie them outside and don't even care if they have water and food let alone pay any attention to them. Or they just let them die or suffer in pain from an injury instead of calling a Vet. It just breaks my heart I don't get it. I have a dog rite now who is having an itching problem nothing serious or life threatening but I have been on it. I have called the vet I have treated him for fleas. i sent him to be groomed and dipped with a anti itch cream. and now that he is still itching i did ask for help on here and I am calling the vet first thing tomorrow to find out about allergy's or what ever else i can do to help my dog. He is my baby he did not ask to be here I went and got him so its my job to take care of any needs that he has. Why cant people get that? added *** I have 4 dogs total and most people I know don't act this way either they are very good to there pets . Or i would step in. But I drive for a living and I see it all the time. Please spay / neuter your pets too.

I was just wondering what you would do or say if you were out in the park with your dog and you met someone with a little puppy. Say you stopped and chatted etc, then asked about the puppy, its age etc. If the owner told you it was a "Tea cup" breed (e.g Yorkie, Chihuahua, Jack Russel, Dachshund) would you actually dare SAY anything about how tea cup breeds are cr*p! The runts of the litter are bred to produce smaller and smaller runts leading to unhealthy smaller dog. Would you actually SAY anything or would you just think it but not dare say it? I know on here as soon as anyone say they have a teacup breed a dozen people reply saying there is no such thing etc. I just wondered if you would say anything in real life? I met someone with a 13 week old Jack Russel puppy and they said it was a teacup one. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to get into an argument in the park! Besides which, is it any of my business to spout off my opinions? As for "registration" papers and "tea cup" well the Jack Russel isn't a breed anyway, not a registered one, its a mongrel small dog...
