I applied some ice to reduce it until the morning and today it's fine. you would never know it had swollen. My question is does anyone else with tattoos find that their tattoos occasionally swell? I understand this might be an infection (and given I've got a cold at the moment, perhaps this swelling was brought on due to my immune system being preoccupied.) but the fact that my tattoo is no longer swollen places doubts in my head. sprinkle me with your wisdom. (and, yes, i am going to a doctor. duh!)

  • Lamb mince. What should i make?

I got some lamb mince while i was out shopping today because it was cheap. What are some good recipes i can use in which lamb mince is the main ingredient. i've got quite a large pantry, so i could probably fix up anything.

I'm fine with most of the stuff that i go through because it's done with friends and the intention behind it is never anything more that playfully goading. Lately though, some of the acts that my friends target towards me seem to feel very slightly like a personal dig. Throwing snowballs, moving my tent around when we were camping, etc... it can get a bit much at times. They're decent people (i'm aware of how in denial i sound at this moment) and it's all laddish fun. But i think i need a better way to deal with this sort of stuff. I don't bother retaliating anymore because they see that as a challenge and rise to it in a way i can never best. What should i do?

  • Tattoo Artists: Is this design overambitious?

Hello all. For my next tattoo, i've set my sights on some artwork from Mastodon's latest album, Crack The Skye. Here's a scan of what i intend to get done. http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i320/willwillwritehiswill/Cracktheskyeart002.jpg I would get it done on my shoulder/upper arm, with the breath trailing some ways down (so as to... show more

I would get it done on my shoulder/upper arm, with the breath trailing some ways down (so as to just be poking out of a t-shirt. My concern lies with the amount of detail in the facial area. Will it be possible for a good artist to maintain alot of the detail? I am aware that, as it's a very bright design, it will be more susceptible to the ravages of deterioration and will require touch-ups on, most likely, a 5 yearly basis at least.

(the ubuntu was installed on a partition on the external disk) I then rather hastily deleted the partition once i had recovered windows and now whenever i boot the computer tries to load GRUB to no avail. I reinstalled ubuntu to try to repair GRUB so i could at least get to windows recovery to perform the fdisk /mbr but i get GRUB error 17 and can't even get into ubuntu to reinstall GRUB... I also don't have a windows recovery disk so this brings me to my question. Is there any way i can remove GRUB or boot windows recovery directly from the BIOS?

My ipod however has all of my songs, audiobooks and podcasts on it (ipod touch 32gig if that makes any difference) i know there are programs that i can use to basically rip this data from my ipod but for the life of me i can't find a comprehensive guide. • More input needed on this design. Thoughts?

So, i'm working on a zombie style tattoo that needs some feedback/constructive criticism. Her it is. http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i320/w... Obivously, the background won't be so flat. Juggling with the idea of either a graveyard background or dystopian cityscape. Please, let me know what you thing and what you'd do to improve it.

  • Your opinion on tattoos?

I see alot of questions that don't care for peoples' opinions on tattoos and piercings. But i invite you now to share your views about ink under the skin, whatever they may be.

I've got some germolene antiseptic ointment laying around. Says it's good for minor cuts, grazes, minor burns, scalds, blisters, and aching muscles. Would i be okay using this for the first few days or should i (if i'm not given anything on the day) get something different? Bear in mind i'm in england. I'm pretty sure i can't get A&D or lubriderm.

What would be the best course of action to care for it in the first few weeks/months? I could wrap my arm in something to keep the moisture away (like cling film), I could reduce the amount of time I'm usually in the bath for (i'm usually pretty fast anyway), keep my arm elevated while i try to wash myself with one hand, or, I dunno, not bathe for a month or two. (ugh, can you imagine?) Bathe me with your wisdom, oh answerers of questions.
