• Is it reasonable to be out of school for 2 months because of a broken ankle?

I'm ready to go to back to school but my parents aren't letting me. I'm afraid if I miss too much school, I'll lose credit. My parents aren't letting me go back until I get my cast off. Which is a month away and ive already missed 3 weeks. Most of my classes are online but could I still lose credit? show more

  • Is Intro to psychology a hard class to take in high school.?

Best answer: On the high school level, it's not going to be very difficult. I didn't think a university-level intro course was particularly tough, and that was at Yale.

  • Do classes you take matter in high school?

Best answer: It depends on the schools you're trying to go into. I would suggest taking things that are relevant to your career plans, or if you don't have any, take things that interest you. If you're more into the sciences, take comp sci, so long as you've fulfilled the language requirement at your school.

  • Why do schools close when it snows?

Also they quick to fine and harrass parents when they take their kids on holiday in term time as they it disrupts their education wrll surely by that logic then cancelling school for snow days is the same, you can't have it both ways Leftie parents say let them have a childhood, what by playing in wet snow, how ling can you that before your cold. If they cancel school for snow then why not add those lost days on at the end of term to make up as teachers are paid to teach a certain number of days and kids are also required to be at school a certsin number of days so why not make it up at end of term. I remember the snow of February 2009 when the kids were off for nearly two weeks then had half-term so nearly 3 weeks off unnecessarily and we wonder why kids leave school illiterate It also imposes on the economy as parents need to take a day off at short nor ice ergo the company loses trade and saying about taking kids out for holidays in term time, have the schools not considered that some parents don't work the standard 9-5, work shifts and may not be able to get the time off and term time is the only time they can take their kids away

  • What would get you automatic detention now in junior high school?

Best answer: Quite a lot of things, not just failing to do homework- •Shouting back at the teacher when he/she shouts at you (why are teachers such hypocrites?!" •Not working fast enough •Not wearing the correct uniform •Swearing •Talking when not supposed to •Using your phone or any electronic in class •Chewing gum,... show more
Best answer: Quite a lot of things, not just failing to do homework-
•Shouting back at the teacher when he/she shouts at you (why are teachers such hypocrites?!"
    •Not working fast enough
    •Not wearing the correct uniform
    •Swearing
    •Talking when not supposed to
•Using your phone or any electronic in class
•Chewing gum, eating or drinking in class (you can have water but you are only allowed to use the fountain and plastic cups, not your own bottle
•Showing up to lesson more than 5 minutes late. Just a few minutes late isn't so bad.
•Arguing with other students, even if they started it
•Returning fire when someone throws a rubber at the back of your head. INJUSTICE!! This one happened to me loads of times.

I didn't get detention that often. But when I did, it was for an unfair reason. Favouritism is a good example.

Best answer: Not when i was in middle school and high school. in days when did have a physical education class i had a study hall.. Yes, i did extra curricular activities as well, but those were during the shool day, there's was time in the schedule for choir. if contributed something to the school newspaper or or magazine, that may have been done on your own time, not necessarily in school.

Study halls you needed to be in specific room at specific time.. If you wren't in class or didn't show up for home room, the nurse called one of your parents. or your guardian.

In COLLEGE NO, there is no requirement that you HAVE to have class every hour. You CAN skip class. Even though the teacher probably does take attendance, no one calls the deans office if if you don't show up.

i graduated form high school in 1971.

Elementary school kids were not going to school on Fridays for time where i am at public schools simply because there is no money to pay the teachers.. I don't know if that is still true because one elementary school was in session on January 26, or the parking lot sure looked like something had been going on on a Friday. Yes elementary school kids ALWAYS have full schedule. They just go out of school earlier than middle school and high school.

The reason why is the school is legally resonsible for you and your well-bieng and safety, whether the it is public or private school in the united states. I went to private schools and and the college of private university. Even if you lived across the street from the school and your parents wanted you to come home for lunch, there was an awesome amount of paper work if you you wanted to cross the street and go off campus.. Even seniors had to have individual permission to go off campus during lunch. of course they often left for the seventh period on Fridays...

  • Don't want to go to graduation?

Best answer: Maybe think of the event as something for yourself and your family rather than those around you. You made it! You're graduating! celebrating could turn out to be fun.

But if you really don't want to go, try asking your parents if y'all could celebrate alone, like with a nice family meal.
