If it's properly maintained and serviced, and parts are replaced as they wear out. The PROBLEM here is that you want to buy a USED car that someone else has owned and cared for. You have no way of knowing how the car was treated by the previous owner(s). Therefore, it's always a good idea to have an independent professional mechanic inspect a car that you are serious about buying. The inspection may cost a few bucks, but could save you thousands in the long run.

If you like to buy American cars, go to American car dealers. Some have multiple brands.

If you care more about longterm reliability, then I recommend Toyota, Honda, Subaru.

Go to Google.com and do these searches for the models that are good for tall drivers:

    cars for tall people
    suvs for tall people

After each search, pick Tools on the right and Past Year on the left so you only see recent results.

Hi All, I have recently signed an agreement for a Brand New car on PCP.My current car that i have is a 2006 Fiat Grande punto 1.2 with 75,000 miles on the clock. The condition of the car is very good for its age and it doesn't have any mechanical faults. They heaven't seen the car but gave me evaluation based on what i said to them. They will see the car on the day i pick up my new one, as some idiot told me not to bring it.The car of course has some scratches and damage on the wing mirror that was mentioned. The issue i have here is that i forgot to mention about one electric window not working and one speaker.Should i worry? The valued the car for £610 when in reality i could sell it for £1,000-1.200 privately. Also one of the tires seems to be wearing out shall i replace it or leave it?They also asked me a question about full service history that the car has of course , however two of the stamps are not put in the logbook but i have the documents/receipts to back up that the car had MOT.Should i get the stamps done?Sorry for asking so many questions but I don't want them to lower the price, as i am already losing some value off of it.

I've really been wanting my OWN car lately because I hate not having the freedom to just get into a vehicle and go where I want and do what I need to. I hate relying on others' cars and stuff. It's so hard to get enough money for a used vehicle though. I've determined that it would be a good idea to for me to have 4x4 because our winters can be pretty crappy and I'd feel safer with that option. Most decent ones I see around here are about $3,000-$4,000 and that crushes me. I don't really make much money at the moment so with common living expenses, I don't really have a lot to work with as far as saving for a vehicle goes. I wish there was an easier way I could bring in extra money, but I'm kind of stumped. One plan I did think of that would help is to save up for a cheaper NON-4x4 right now since winter will be over soon, then trade up to a 4x4 with time. Do you think that would be smarter/more logical? Even with that being said, I still wouldn't be able to get one very soon. It would help a lot because the cost is much cheaper (more like the $2,000 range)... but I still can't save that much right now. I definitely don't want to buy "just anything" and end up getting screwed with a ton of expensive mechanical issues or something, so I want to be careful with my purchase (and yes, I do plan to take it to be checked by a mechanic when I do get one just to be extra sure/safe). What would everyone suggest for making about $2,000 rather quickly that is legit and legal?

Uninformed buyers saw them as a "luxury brand", paid out-the-nose monthly for them, and found themselves dealing with the inherent issues and a tiny network of service dealers.
