I thought It was a 1 time thing because she never did it again. Then 4 wks ago she peed on us in our bed in the middle of the night. Then she was fine again until last night. She jumped up on me while I was sleeping and sat on my side (hip) and peed. We had just cleaned her litter box that night so that can't be her issue. We haven't moved her litter box or got any new pets. I thought a UTI but it's very infrequent that she does it. I'm 9 mths pregnant and need to fix this before the baby comes, any suggestions??? Thank you!

  • 8 day old kittens still haven't opened their eyes, is this normal?

I know it takes a while but I'm starting to get a little worried. One of the kittens left eye is a little bit crusty as well. Should I wipe the crustiness off or is that dangerous?

  • Locking the cat alone in a room?

My cat is 3 months old he keeps peeing outside the litter box i took him to the vet and he said i should lock him alone in a room with his food+litter box for like 5 hours or more. And he will stop peeing outside, I feel like this isn’t a solution? Right?

  • What kind of toys can I make at home to keep my crazy calico kitty busy?

She's not a fan of boxes but she loves balls and doesn't seem to be interested in anything else.

  • Advise for a beginner cat owner?

I have done all my research and feel I am prepared to adopt a cat for the first time (only ever had dogs). I know how to take care of it, but besides care tips, any random advice? Something you wish you would have known before adopting a cat?

He s been brought in to the vet twice, and nothing is wrong health wise. I have NEVER responded to the cats meows in anyways, I have not said anything, or thrown anything at the door in attempts to get the cat to stop. There are days I have been late for work trying to avoid opening the door until the cat is quiet, and I REFUSE to sleep with my door open as it makes me very uncomfortable and causes a restless sleep.

  • Dogs and cats?

Best answer: Cats and dogs can get along just fine. A lot of people have both and the household is harmonious and happy. Your parents have strange ideas, I think. Gather all the information you can find and just present it to them. Good luck.

Best answer: If you're considering getting a cat, go to the shelter and observe some of the cats and kittens. Even volunteer there, so you know what cats are like. That way, you won't end up with an animal you don't really want.

Even better, you could foster a couple cats for a rescue league, which would give you a first-hand view.

But, each cat is different. Some are outgoing, like to play, meow a lot. Others are quiet and don't do much. A cat who wasn't handled much might hide due to fear.

Cats don't just go around biting, but during play might try to grab a toy, or accidentally use their claws to get something.

Dogs past the age of about 1 or 2 don't bite, anymore, so wondering just how much you know about animals. My dogs have never bitten anyone or anything, past the puppy nibbles.

I would suggest volunteering at the shelter for 2 or 3 months - or with a rescue league. That will give you lots of free information. You might just like doing it.

  • What are ways a cat says I love you to its owner?

Best answer: Cats show affection through hanging out near their owners, rubbing their heads/bodies on their owners, purring, flopping over near their owners, sleeping near their owners, bringing gifts like dead prey or toys, etc.

Each cat has a unique personality, so they all "say I love you" a little differently.
