You shouldn't if you are to have an Hindu ceremony, in order to avoid any confusion as to how you feel about the marriage.
If you are having a Christian ceremony, you *could* wear white- but these days, brides are wearing all colors. Look up the history of the white wedding dress- it was originally a way to show off wealth, as a white dress couldn't really be worn again. It has zero to do with a Christian ceremony or your suitability as a bride.

If you are marrying an Hindu man, you are going to need to make a lot of diplomatic decisions. I would suggest this would be one that will be important. I would choose another color, perhaps a pastel.

I’m wearing a lilac dress and I only have a white cardigan to go with it. Is that acceptable? **and before anyone tells me to just not wear it and it doesn’t matter if my shoulders show, the bride and groom have specifically asked us to dress modestly out of respect for the sanctity of what’s taking place. I already know there’s nothing inappropriate about shoulders. I don’t need a lecture, nor do I need to just say screw it and piss off the bride and groom and wear whatever I want. 🙄

You are more important to me than anything. More valuable than any gem. More beautiful than any painting. I love you with my whole soul. I promise to put you first over anything in my life. You know me better than anyone else and still love me even when I'm mean or moody. I appreciate you more than words can express. You are my best friend, my lover, my partner in crime, my whole world. I wish to remain by your side for the rest of my life, every moment I spend with you is priceless. You make me feel like the luckiest man alive. You ve given me a new view of the world and I never want to be without you. I never knew every day could be more fun than the last. You make every day a new, exciting adventure that I'm so glad to be a part of. I vow to be loyal and honest. I promise to never betray you or your trust. I swear I will treat you with respect. I will always show you compassion and empathy. I will cheer beside you, cry next to you, and hold you tightly for the rest of my life. So please (name) will you take me to be your life partner, and do me the honor of marrying me?

Just recently she announced that she’s getting a wedding ceremony. My cousin offered a bedroom for her mom. She forgot to put the album away. During my cousin’s wedding shower her mom found an album on the bed. The mom assumed it was for her ceremony. My cousin saw her mom going through to the album. Thats when she admitted to her Mom that she was already married without her mom. If my cousin is already married. How will it work out during ceremony?

Best answer: Step one is asking yourself what the real problem is for you. Is it the money? Is it having his parents involved? Is it the actual number of people? What?

If you can't afford it and you can't find another source of funding, then clearly you are being sensible and your fiance needs to grow up and get some financial counseling before you to get married. If the money is readily available and his parents are happy to pay for it, then what exactly is the issue? Do you fear that will take over everything and you'll lose control? Is it that you really don't know or aren't comfortable with the 100+ extra people? Is it that you and your fiance wouldn't agree on who to cut for his list of 300? Is it that your dream venue only holds 200?

Once you hit about 100people, it really doesn't matter if you have 100 or 300. It is a big event in a big place.

However, i come from a middle class family of moderate means, and my parents quite honestly don’t have the money to pay for the wedding. My fiancé’s family, however, is wealthy and has a lot of money. We want a nice wedding, nothing insanely extravagant, but we don’t want to have to sacrifice having a nice wedding because we can’t afford it all. Our dream wedding costs around $20,000. We’re paying for about $12,000 of it ourselves. How do we ask his parents to pay for the rest? What we need help paying for is mostly venue, food, drinks, rentals, and the cake.

How can I stop my mom giving them a penny? The other wedding guests aren't even getting them a present let alone money. I don't want my mom being taken advantage of. Also she's not in a position to be giving anyone cash as we're all out of work and on a tight budget as it is.

All of the guests live within 15 minutes of the ceremony location, so no one is travelling from far. We will be offering wedding favours as a keepsake afterwords and thanking everyone individually at a later date for attending. We just really want it to be short and sweet but have everyone there that we care about to watch us say our vows. Also, we do not want gifts. How do I address these things on the invitation? Looking for wording!

I don't know why, I was I was a "chill" fiance but I just don't like tattoos that promote certain values and he knows this and he went and got a tattoo that he knew I wouldn't like this weekend on this calf and I flipped and I want to know if I am crazy and overreacting it is his body and it's just art or am I sane for being upset. Also he spent 150 on it when he doesn't make Yardley any income! I am just so hurt I don't know if it is the nerves before the wedding or if this is legitimate. In general he treats me rather exceptional but I feel disrespected and I don't want my kids to have to look at their dad with a big Breasted demon lady on his leg and a ghost demon on his chest. Do I need to relax??

I’ve tried it on, and apart from it being a bit big on me, it feels like the dress I should get married in. My in laws have suggested that I get my own dress so I’m not overly upset on my wedding day by wearing my mother’s dress. My fiance’s Grandmother however has suggested that I wear the dress for the ceremony and wear a different dress for the reception and dancing so my mother’s dress isn’t ruined. I’ve been leaning on my in laws a lot for support while we plan the wedding, because I’m not sure how everything works and I don’t have family to lean on. I’m not sure what to do. Is it weird if I wear the dress?

Finally, your daughter doesn't need to know how you guys fought and how the reservations didn't work out. If she asks (if she even cares - I never asked my parents about their engagement) just say "He asked me by the river and it was very nice."
