Whether you choose to eat meat (carnivore) veggies/plants (herbivore) or a mix of both (omnivore) why do vegans/vegetarians prefer not to eat meat at all? Plants are living creatures on this planet just like cows, pigs, fish, etc. Some animals, such as cows, we eat them on almost a daily occasion, while other places like in India, they worship them. Dogs a.k.a mans best friend, we look at them like family, but they're actually a staple in some Asian countries where they don't have laws restricting them from being eaten. Other animals, such as pigs, we eat them as bacon, but scientific research shows that pigs can be smarter than dogs in some cases. Now what about marijuana, opium, etc. In some cases, there are laws preventing people from smoking, cutting, or even eating these types of plants, but in most cases, vegetarians don't care about these laws, but want you to stop eating meat or prefer not to eat meat, because they feel it supports the major corporations who cultivate and mass produce these animals for human consumption, just like the mass production of vegetable crops, etc. My question is simple, why do vegetarians feel it is a sin to eat meat, when most other animals eat meat and aren't as clean cut as some slaughterhouses are. Other animals need to be culled, otherwise they can destroy the same kind of crops and plants that these vegetarians love to divulge in. There are 7 billion people in the world, I've come to respect the fact that although I prefer my eggs, vegetables, and meat all organic. It really doesn't make a different whether I choose to eat my food organic, or whether I decide to go to McDonalds and have me a Big Mac, these animals or plants will be be slaughtered one way or the other. As a population, we're only getting bigger, more and more animals will be consumed. In some countries, some people starve to death because of lack of a food substance. But in all honesty, what's the difference between eating plants and animals? A plant without nutrients, water, and sunlight, will wither away and die. Same as any other living organic creature on the planet. What makes vegetarians any different? Before you say "plants, trees, vegetables, don't have any feelings, nerves." Well then, what's the difference between cutting down a plant, compared to a tall redwood tree?

A list of the vegetables I hate: Mushrooms Peppers Onions Tomatos Cabbage Kale Asparagus Celery Sprouts Eggplant Leeks Parsnips And the list goes on. So what other foods do you suggest? I'm vegetarian because meat tastes disgusting and has a vile texture. I also hate how many animals get slaugters just because some fat guy can kill himself quicker. I also have the problem that my dad really, really disapproves. I cook my own meals but I can't keep eating plain pasta for the rest of my life (I do actually love pasta on it's own although sometimes I add cheese sauce and olives (I love olives)) What vegetarian meals can I cook that do not have any of the ingredients in the list, I do really love pasta and rice.
