• How to avoid throwing up after wisdom tooth removed?

Best answer: You will be fine if you throw up.
After you do you can rinse you mouth out with some salt water. Don't swish it around...just kind of tilt your head back and move it from side to side to coat your mouth with the salt water, then spit it out

Anyways, I have felt much much better over the last week since quitting my job and working freelance, and shaved, got a haircut, and did all this other stuff I wasn't doing, and lastly brushed my teeth. I am worried about the damage I have done to them. I am a smoker and drink coffee lots and drank a lot of Monsters to sustain my previous job. Prior to this brush, I would run my toothbrush over them to appear less yellow. Or take paper towels and rub the build up off.

Best answer: Okay I got braces back in grade school. I highly, highly recommend taking pain killers before the appointment and bring chap-stick and water with you because your mouth will get highly dry and your lips with be chapped beyond belief. You mouth will be open for around 30 minutes to an hour so that water will be a need once done. It'll hurt for a while 2 days to a week after getting them on depending on how bad your teeth are. It'll feel weird and you might find yourself licking the brackets a lot. The orthodontist will tell you not to eat a ton of things but I didn't listen and nothing broke, they can just be hard to brush out if its soft like bread or a sugary gum. Avoid hard pizza crust or biting on hard candy though. It can brake a bracket easily and replacing brackets is around 60-80 bucks. The braces don't feel like anything once you adjust to them which doesn't take long at all. Getting them tightened gives a little pressure but not much pain. For the first 2 week of you having braces I recommend eating soft foods or meal shakes until the pain subsides (my mom had be try to eat nachos my first night having braces ;-;) Because you are older it shouldn't hurt as much as it would if you were 12 or 13 getting braces. The procedure is simple actually, as long as you take care of your teeth. First they might do x-rays of your teeth if they didn't already, then they will either brush your teeth or have you do it depending on how bad they are. You then pick a color for your braces. They then with put a type of cement on your teeth so the brackets stay on after the brackets or on and arch wire is put in place which is what make your teeth shift then the rubber band color you chose is put on. That's pretty much it. They orthodontist will explain your braces a bit more and give you special tools to clean your teeth. Just remember to brush your teeth while you have braces 2-3 times daily or black or pure white spots show up on your teeth permanently. If you have a crisscross bite or an overbite white rubber band will be given to you to put on your braces while you sleep. Just remember once those braces are off it's highly worth it and it's by far a highly satisfying feeling. Once they are off you will be fitted for a retainer which you will wear for a year afterward at night. Good luck!

  • How long will I feel like sleeping after wisdom teeth surgery?

Best answer: It's just the stress that wears you out. And how much you stress depends on you. You might feel like a short nap when you get home, or just sit quietly and watch TV or something.

I have never had a problem with feeling any pain and if you are very worried, you can ask them to test if you feel anything before actually starting(which they might do anyway). If they are putting you asleep though...they will know if you are awake or asleep. They normally have blankets available and I don’t see why a stuffed animal should be a problem. Music may not be allowed because headphones could be in the way of the surgeons.

  • Can I ask my orthodontics to take my braces off early?

Best answer: The only way to find out is call the office and ask.
One day wouldn't affect your teeth.
The question is, do they have time in their schedule to move you up a day.

Help! I Had a composite filling done on my tooth over a year ago, immediately after it was done I had severe sharp pain when I chewed on any food. I went back and the dentist checked it for cracks or bonding errors but they could find anything wrong with the filling, I even went to a second dentist who couldn't find any issues! They told me it was possible I was just sensitive to the new filling and I should wait a couple months to let it settle. So a full year went by and I still couldn't eat any food on the side of my mouth with the bad filling, and just last week I went back to the dentist and they re-did the filling, but I am still having sharp pains when I chew food. The problem wasnt the filling, and Im wondering is it possible the dentist damaged my tooth when the filling was originally done? What other options do I have now? Will they have to pull my tooth? :(
