  • Can having a thin blanket give you a cold?

I’m visiting my boyfriend and he only gives me one thin blanket. It’s super cold outside and in his room. He said I can’t catch a cold from that, but my throat is super sore.

  • DO I HAVE A PARASITE (GRAPHIC IMAGES)?

I went to a third world country back in February. I have stomach pain occasionally; however I have seen worm like things in my stool once. I also have “seeds” in my stool every time I have a BM and when squeezed a tiny white thing comes out. Is this a parasite and if so what kind? Please help.

I'm so scared because I don't want to get salmonella or anything, and I only ate the crunchy outside part of the chicken and the part that didn't have redness before I noticed that there was redness and i took a few bites, not really big bites

  • The nurse covered the TB skin test with a bandage and result is positive?

I went to do a two step tb skin test for graduate school and the nurse that administered it tightly covered the wound with a bandage and told me not to remove it. 48 hours passed by and I went to have it checked, turns out to be a positive. They sent me to lab to do the Quantiferon TB-Gold In-Tube (blood test) and the results are negative. I just moved from another state and my insurance didn’t cover for it, it cost me over $300. Do you think I have the right to battle it as they were not suppose to cover the injection spot with a bandage and they didn’t give me any instructions on not itching or applying warm or cold water when it itches. Which increases the chances for a positive result from the first place that pushes more people to do an extra test.

I have all of the symptoms of a cold, but I’m vomiting too. What could this be? I think it might be the flu but I’m not sure. I don’t have a fever.

  • Purple tonsil?

Best answer: ER? No. See how it goes with the antibiotics and you should not go to different UCs as there is no continuity--no one can follow what changes are going on. Stick to one or better a primary.

  • I accidentally drank from a cup that was also drank by a person who threw up. What do I do to combat possibly getting the stomach bug?

Best answer: You can't get sick from that. Vomiting once and 12 hours ago would be from eating bad food, NOT a stomach virus... (which wouldn't survive more than a minute or two in a glass of water anyway.)
