• Anyone has a 2018 Honda Accord LX what type of gas do I put in it? Regular? Plus? Premium? I just bought it and forgot to ask.?

Best answer: All trims of the 2018 Honda Accord in the US use regular gasoline - see the source.

I agree you should read through the owner's manual and learn (and follow) the maintenance schedule. It can easily double the life of your car when you know how to use and care for it.

  • Changing transmission fluid on a 2009 Honda Civic?

Best answer: I assume it is an automatic transmission. It should be changed every 30K miles, according to enthusiasts, but the Honda maintenance schedule (first source) says every 60K miles. DW-1 is the only Honda approved fluid. Honda warns never to flush their transmissions. The scheduled service is a drain and fill; many... show more

Honda warns never to flush their transmissions. The scheduled service is a drain and fill; many enthusiasts do it three times about 100 or more miles apart to do a more complete change (not a bad idea if the fluid is dark). I always thought triple changes every 30K miles was a bit much, though. Single changes every 30K miles makes more sense.

EDIT - I doubt the original Z-1 fluid is available anywhere... you have to update to DW-1.

  • Gas grade for Honda?

I have a 2013 Honda Accord, and i’m not sure which gas to use with it. My dad says i have to use Plus, because its better for the engine. I used Regular for a bit, and he says to not use Regular anymore; otherwise it can damage the engine or systems. Can i still use Regular, or should i start using Plus gas??

  • Would replacing the timing belt on a honda civic 2003 be a DIY job ?

Best answer: You can do it yourself but you need to know what you are doing (as a mistake can wreck your engine) and you would need the appropriate tools and OEM specs.

There are a few videos on youtube might be worth watching those to see if you are happy to do it

  • 2002 honda civic, 174k miles, but its been parked for 5 months. Is it even worth going to look at with a mechanic?

Best answer: It all depends on how well the vehicle was maintained before sitting for 5 months
Plan on needing the battery charged or replaced and some fresh gasoline should be put in the tank.
Once you get it running have the oil and filter changed right away.
