If so, how much would a deposit be? And where are some good places to look? Any advice helps!!! Thank you:)

  • Do you think buying a used certified truck from a rental car company is a good idea?

I was looking to buy a certified ford f150 from a respectable dealership. It has the certified warranty with it. It is a 2017 with 17,000 miles on it. It came from enterprise rental cars. Do you think the car was beat up as its time as a rental car or it being a certified car they would have found its problems.

  • Need help figuring out a car loan please!?

I have about $4000 negative equity from a total loss crash where I got screwed with gap insurance. I was told I need a car with enough value, probably around $15,000 to hide the negative equity. Both my co-signer and I have credit scores just below 600 and I can only afford to pay around $300 a month. I can try for... show more

Both my co-signer and I have credit scores just below 600 and I can only afford to pay around $300 a month. I can try for a little more monthly, however it's a stretch. I would like to know what kind of down payment I would need to be able to get myself into a car, or what price range I should be looking at with the amount of negative equity I have?

  • Why do people say cars that used to be rentals are not good deals for purchase?

They usually have more extras and get sold at 1-2 years. Why do people assume rental cars are treated roughly? I was looking at this car for sale that used to be a rental car and it's in excellent condition.

A year ago I cosigned on an auto loan with my now ex-girlfriend. I've been making all the payments and such and I want to know how can I get the title under just my name alone? I found out once the car is paid for, both of our names will be on it. I talked with the bank and they said we could have the loan refinanced and have it under my name alone, but she would also have to agree to it. What do I do if she doesn't comply to refinancing it? What can I do to get the vehicle under my name?

  • Is it wrong to ask a private car seller for car payment installment if you don't have all cash upfront for a vehicle purchase?

I see that car payment installment is mostly used at car dealership. Do private owners do them too except without the financing.. Written documents contracts and agreements can be put in place and signed to have proof.. for legal reasons.

  • What protection is available for people wanting to buy a used car? Does it make a big difference if the car is "certified"?

I have always bought my cars brand new with the lowest trim and I was wondering if it would be better to buy a 2-3 year old car with a higher trim or better quality overall. Is it good enough to check carfax and have a mechanic look at it? My concern is why would most people sell a 2 year old car with low miles on... show more

I am the not so proud owner of a 2016 Tacoma Lease. I want to terminate the lease so I can buy an older more suitable vehicle for me but I can’t find a non financially troublesome way. I called Toyota, and was told that I could turn the vehicle in, but I would still need to pay every month for the next year and a half on my lease... even if I don’t have the vehicle. What the actual hell? I was also told that I could buy the vehicle, and then take full ownership of it to sell it as I please. Issue with that, is I don’t have the money to do that, nor is my credit good enough at the moment, and I also don’t have a co-signer to assist with that. Can ANYONE help me find ANY loophole in their system? How can I get rid of this damn truck?! Also, to anyone reading this who might be thinking of leasing a vehicle... don’t do it, just buy it. I mean that with utmost sincerity.

So here's my situation, guys: I have no car. Parental figures are not good people, I just turned 21 and they still haven't even given me a second driving lesson. I've been saving up money for a car, but just recently I was told they'd no longer help me get to work, even though without a ride there it'll cost me $80 a week to get to work and back. I don't have enough saved up for a car, and couldn't even drive it if I did. So what are my options? Obviously a motorcycle is too dangerous and requires too much skill for me where I'm at right now. Should I get an electric bike? A Moped, I need something so I can get to work and back, and more often, so that I can save up for a car. Any help would save my life, figuratively and potentially literally.
