    Hello, I have been drinking a crap ton of flavored water. Specifically the Clear American brand. I am talking like a liter a night for the past week! It is so delicious as they make the flavors so realistic without adding any calories. The only catch I have seemed to notice is the aspartame which I heard has a bunch of negative side effects. However, I was wondering if this only pertains to consuming large amounts or is there enough in a liter of this drink to cause health problems? I have been drinking this stuff way more than I have been drinking regular water. I am pretty much addicted to trying new flavors! Is this bad to continue or not really? Thanks for answering!!

    How much creamer? The way you wrote that is ambiguous. If it's three tablespoons, as in one interpretation, that's another 160 calories per cup. If it's less, it's just over 50 calories per tablespoon.

    So every cup of this beverage that you drink has, at a minimum, 200 calories with zero nutritional value, and possibly as much as 400 or even 500, depending on rounded spoonfuls of sugar and how much cream. That's a quarter of the daily recommend calorie intake for adults for *one* cup, but you're having two or three prepared in that way.

    So yes, that's too much. If you can't stand the taste of coffee on its own, consider artificial sweetener or far less sugar, and one of the fat-free coffee creamers that are not made from cream. They come in flavors that are very nice.

Sometimes, I'll add in my own homemade fruit syrup (I can control the sugar that way) if I want it sweet, but I mostly stick to plain water, iced tea, or soda water.

    It's hard, but hell, if I can do it, you can too. I used to drink at least 3 Big Gulps of Dr. Pepper along with 3-4 cans or bottles of soda A DAY. Yeah, did that for YEARS. I quit about 5 years ago and feel so much better. It'll get easier the longer you go and don't beat yourself up if you slip. Just try again and try HARDER. Good luck.
