Im from Ireland and we have some very tasty milk, especially in the countryside in places like Donegal or Tipperary and others. We also have the run of the mill low fat crap. Ive cut down big time on milk though because it lines my throat and gives me too much saliva. I also dont agree with intensive farming and i dont know if the cows actually like being milked that much, certainly in some cases they do enjoy being milked, but im not sure if the modern way of constantly milking them is good for them and to be a decent honorable human being you have to consider how the animal feels about it. The other day i bought some vanilla flavored rice milk which was delicious and hemp milk, which was absolutely horrid, and i like weed but this was rank, it reminded me of the water that you would wash a paint brush in, terrible. I used to drink soy milk but soy has absolutely no nutritional value and it certainly isnt worth all the beautiful forests being cut down to grow it.

  • What do you mostly drink.?

I'm trying to find an alternative to diet cola, which I drink loads of all day. I'm allergic to milk, hate coffee, find fruit juice to acid and don't drink alcohol. Water is boring and tea makes me thirsty.

I've never been big on water, I'm not sure why, but I just don't like it. Ever since I was little I haven't been a fan, I've even been hospitalized twice because of severe dehydration to the point where I wasn't waking up when I was like 4. Now, I never drink water, I drink a cup of coffee when I wake up (which has some water...), and probably a cup of tea before I go to bed. I don't really drink anything throughout my day, occasionally a glass of milk with supper. My friends come up to me sometimes saying "ugh I only had like 3 glasses of water this morning, I feel so crappy" and stuff like that, and I can never understand why because i never drink anything and I feel fine. Even when I work out, I come home and drink a glass of almond milk, or juice and thats it. So far I've been in good health, and I'm not sure how thats possible since I drink no water. Is the water in my coffee enough for me? or am I dehydrated... I'm not sure. Any ideas?

I make green tea iced tea literally every day :-) It is important to note though that if you want all the health benefits of green tea - the antioxidants etc.. you have to use loose leaf tea - not tea bags.. you see the loose leaf, or whole leaf, all the antioxidants are in the leaf, safe and sound.. with tea bags, they grind the leaf down to a powder, the antioxidants are oxidized - gone.. not of any benefit to you..
I take a tablespoon of real green tea leaves, pour almost-boiling water on it - this preserves the antioxidants better than boiling water.. I let this cool completely, then I add a ton of water (you don't have to, but I drink a lot of it, and tea leaves are expensive.. plus I don't like it too strong). I refrigerate this, and then when I pour a glass, I add stevia to taste.. I then immediately reuse that tea leaves - you can get 2 - 3 pots of tea out of those same leaves! This really gives you the most value for your money..
If you go to a place like David's teas, they have naturally flavored green teas - I love the jasmine.. I also buy plain green tea and add sliced fresh ginger to it.. delicious!
