The local crows seem to see me as an equal. They were swarming my persimmon tree and eating up the crop. They ignored my admonitions until I started throwing stuff into the air. [I didn't throw anything AT the crows, I know better than that. Just near them.] Each time, they acted startled and flew away, and didn't return for a pretty long time.
I guess they were impressed that I was able to have a presence in the air.
Now, I don't have to do this anymore. They leave the persimmons for me and the mockingbirds and finches, which don't eat so much. When I see them in the persimmon tree, they look at me and, one by one, fly away, as if they realize they have been rude.
Of course, if they really depended on the persimmons to live, they would not be so polite. But they do have other sources of food, and have granted me the right to my persimmons.

They started on his back paws and now are on belly. He doesn't seem to be bothered by them to much but back ones are scabbing. It may be from him messing with them.

    Demands already?

You came with the dog, she came later....so choose carefully...or get set for a life time of nonsense...

    I had two dogs when I met my girlfriend (wife for thirty years now), and she was not too keen on dogs;

    I was; NO compromise...

    The dogs were staying put

The girlfriend understood that from the get go....and elected to stay....

She loves her Doberman now, AND her husband....

  • Is it 'disgusting' for a cat to sleep in someones bed with them?

Best answer: Look, my cats walk on the counter after taking a dump (I wash my counters a lot). Do you think I care if the cat crawls under the covers with me? I encourage it. Seriously though why does she think it's gross? I also let dogs sleep on my bed. Don't see an issue with that either. I dog sit and have watched... show more

I also let dogs sleep on my bed. Don't see an issue with that either. I dog sit and have watched over 100 dogs and have never had a dog that rolled in poop, dead things or anything gross. The worst I have gotten is muddy paws or a wet dog from rain or snow and you clean their paws and dry them off before they go onto furniture. Most don't eat poop or garbage and if they try I just prevent them from doing that. I have never had a dog nearly as bad as what Star described. They stay pretty clean.
Also gonna point out that anyone who showers in the morning is gross when they crawl into bed.

  • I m nearly 18 and I cried because I fell of a horse, was I being childish ?

Best answer: No. I have seen professional athletes cry after initially being severely injured in a game. It is, in these cases, more of a frustration thing than from the pain, though it can be one reaction to extreme pain. The athlete is angry and frustrated, on top of the pain, with knowing that the injury is bad and going to put them out of action for a long period of time.

Who knows what you were feeling in that moment? I'm not you and nobody else is, either.

The suspects would debase these girls by ejaculating and urinating in these girls mouths whilst mocking them racially and beating them like animals using belts. They stuck objects inside their anuses and uteruses. Men up to ages of 60 would line up to take turns on these girls, many hooked on heroin. I mean this is what happened in Rotherham and other towns across England, a familiar pattern. How long will this continue for? Where's the outrage or public enquiry or condemnation by politicians ? This will keep happening, are our girls meat?

If your cat has any visible injuries that can be photographed as well, do so. Take pics where her dog dug under the fence too, and put this all in a folder so you have it on hand when it's needed. Your cat really would be much safer inside, but that doesn't excuse your neighbors dog either and it's really your choice.

Luckily the bite wasn't hard and it only left scrapes with a few red spot on my calf. No bleeding occur. I went home and rinsed the area and applied hydrogen peroxide. What should I do next? Should I report this to someone? Tell my apartment manager? I don't know what to do because this is the first time getting bitten by a dog. The dog owner is really careless when it comes to pet control

She's calico but she's mostly white with a dark grayish tail with white strips with dark gray paws and ears. She has beautiful blue eyes and she's just the best kitten. Well she's been getting out alot but she's stays close but we haven't gotten her spayed yet nor her rabies shot. Our other cat, who's older, spayed and has gotten her shots, Scarlet, caught a chipmunk outside and left it under the trampoline. Skye got outside and I found her under the tramp touching it with her paws. I carried her inside and then she got out again and and ran under the deck which I pulled her out by her paws so now's she's inside. I washed my hands but I'm nervous she might have rabies and that I might have it or some other disease. I know I'm freaking out quite a bit. My family told me everything is ok and that we're both ok but should I go get a rabies shot or something?

i'm reposting this because i didn't clarify where in the world i lived and answerers thought i lived in the USA with guns and coyotes and crap like that, which i DONT, making outside a much safer place as well as i live on a very quiet side-road and i know all my neighbours and there are no loose dogs or people who would poison a cat for shitting in their flower bed or anything (just saying in advance!) i have two 3 year old cats we've owned almost their whole lives, and my mum always says it was cruel to keep them inside because then they'd be sadly looking out at all the mice and birds they used to catch and stuff like that. for 3 years these cats have spent half their days soaking the sun up outside in the bushes in their whole lives, is it too late to move them to permanently be indoors? i don't even know if they still know how to use a litter box, or if we even have one. my parents and my whole family say it's so cruel to not let cats go outside. i must admit, they do spend a lot of time indoors sleeping all day but since they're 3 years old is it cruel to suddenly start not letting them outside, even if we ease them into it? they just love it so much and i can see it just makes them so incredibly happy, and i'd rather they lived a slightly shorter, happy one than a slightly longer boring one. thanks

  • Do female dogs get periods?

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but I've never had female dogs. I had a male dog for 16 years. He passed away a few months ago. Now my family is thinking about the possibility of getting another dog. But we were wondering do female dogs get periods the way us humans do?
