Y do u not comprehend that the existence of a book only proves that a book exists? When will u realize that a book can lie? By ur standards of "the bible proves the bibles contents to be true and perfect", all religions since the dawn of time are also true, but u cant stop here!! If books prove their contents true simply by their own very existence, then everything anyone had ever written down, on any subject, religious and otherwise, from all nations,in all languages, in all cultures, since the invention of writing, also true. ^ that's impossible since they conflict. The existence of the bible, the quaran, the this that and the other..etc only proves that said books are physically real, and do indeed exist in reality, but it does not provide evidence supporting the books actual claims and contents. Here's an example, harry potter and the goblet of fire 🔥 says that harrys blood brought lord Voldemort back to life. Is this also spiritual truth that should never be denied? I know u HATE comparisons to harry potter, but in this specific instance, it's EXTREMELY valid to anyone with an IQ larger than their shoe size.

  • Are 18-20 year olds so smart we should listen to them talk about politics or so stupid they should be able to buy a gun?

Best answer: I'm a 19 year old that's pro-gun. I know what I talk about when it comes to guns. I am aware that banning guns will NOT stop shootings.

  • Why didn’t the Broward Co Sheriff ever “Baker Act” the school shooter as they were called to the residence 36 times since 2011?

Best answer: Good question. I blame the local police for this. They were actually called to this guy's house 39 times in 7 years and he was never charged or committed to a mental hospital even though they knew he was mentally ill. In many cases, a therapist was called as well to medicate him while police were there.

Best answer: The reason people get so polarized over homosexuality doesn't have anything to do with religion. Oh, sure, there are religious bigots who feel that God needs their help to keep all humanity in line, and they're great for cherry-picking scripture to disguise their bigotry. But of all the people who are so exercised about homosexuality that they can't see any reference to it without having to announce their opposition or their disgust - or they have to make some remark in public, or be sure to lecture their kids about it at the very first opportunity - the VAST MAJORITY of those people don't go to church, don't know any scripture, and couldn't give a flying fuuk about religion and sin! So what's the deal with them?

The deal with them is this: Among men and boys, it is circulated that homosexuals are weak, ineffectual, and effeminate. In short, they combine all of the worst aspects of women, and none of the best aspects of men. Also they are dirty, perverted, sinners (because God said so, and that's all you need to know about that!). And they are criminals, except that it's politically incorrect to arrest them right now. BUT MOST OF ALL, they are - for all of the foregoing reasons - despised and rejected by the honorable brotherhood of manly men, WHICH MEANS if we suspect you are a homosexual, you go to the bottom of the pecking order of men in your community and there you will remain. You will be marked, ostracized, shunned, talked about, insulted, shoved around, spit on, and beat up - and if we're drunk enough, even killed. Nobody will give you the time of day. Nobody will hire you. Nobody will buy anything from you. You lose all benefits of your manhood club membership.

And how do we know whether to suspect you of homosexuality? That's easy: If I say "I hate fAgs!" you have to say "Yeah, me too, damn spiggots!" because if you don't, it's clear that you ARE one. If you're friends with one, you ARE one. If you are kind to one, you ARE one. If you even academically suggest maybe we don't need to hate 'em, you ARE one. And so we find ourselves surrounded by daily outbursts of "I hate homosexuals!" and "Me too!" "Me too!" And we also get to hear from the tag-along politicians and TV preachers who want to capitalize on this self-perpetuating voting bloc, and all their Sunday offerings... (or from people who like to PRETEND to themselves that they ARE politicians or priests of some sort.)

Men hate gays, in order to protect themselves - and in order to make bank - NOT because they understand what scripture says, or care about it one whit (and the more they go on about God, the truer that is).

Women hate gays for other reasons (but that's the subject for a different tirade).

  • During segregation, would an asian go drink at the white fountain or the black fountain?

In some restaurants and public places, they separated by labeling “colored people” and “white people”. Technically Asians are yellow, olive, or brown. Would that mean they would go to public places that labeled “people of color”? I mean technically people of color are people who aren’t European decent right?

Best answer: The limited-but-sturdy evidence provided by historians that Bronski draws on suggests homosexuality was treated matter-of-factly among most Native American tribes. In the records of the Lewis and Clark expeditions, Nicholas Biddle observes: "Among the Mamitarees, if a boy shows any symptoms of effeminacy or girlish inclinations he is put among the girls, dressed in their way, brought up with them, and sometimes married to men."

Among the Crow tribe, a horrified white observer wrote, "men who dressed as women and specialised in women's work were accepted and sometimes honoured; a woman who led men in battle and had four wives was a respected chief". This shouldn't be entirely romanticised. One tribe "accepted" homosexuality by raising young men to be "passives", available as "sexual resources" to the tribe, which sounds uncomfortably close to rape. But in most places, different sexualities were granted room for expression, much of it consensual.

The Navajos have a rich, documented history of accepting and even honoring people that identified with different genders and sexual preferences.

In fact, as recently as 10 years ago, same-sex unions were recognized by the Navajos.

“We were recognizing same-sex unions between a man and a man and a woman and a woman long before white people came on to this land,” Alray Nelson, lead organizer at the Coalition for Navajo Equality, a local community group working to end the ban on gay marriage, told Fusion.

That changed in 2005, when, following the footsteps of the U.S. Defense of Marriage Act, the Navajo Nation introduced its own version, called the Diné Marriage Act.

The Navajo nation recognizes what are known as “tribal common-law marriages.” If a couple is cohabitating and “holding out to the public as being married” then the tribal government recognizes that couple as a married unit.

“Before the 2005 Diné Marriage Act, that was a law for everyone,” Nelson said.

Going back further, there are drawings, photographs, oral histories, and even language that advocates say is evidence LGBT Navajo tribe members were once accepted.

The Navajo language has at least one term for tribe members that don’t fit traditional heterosexual roles: nádleehí.

Don Pedro Fages was third in command of the 1769–70 Spanish Portolà expedition, the first European land exploration of what is now the U.S. state of California. At least three diaries were kept during the expedition, but Fages wrote his account later, in 1775. Fages gave more descriptive details about the native Californians than any of the others, and he alone reported the presence of homosexuality in the native culture. The English translation reads:

I have submitted substantial evidence that those Indian men who, both here and farther inland, are observed in the dress, clothing and character of women – there being two or three such in each village – pass as sodomites by profession.... They are called joyas, and are held in great esteem.
