Bandwidth is how much information can be crammed down the pipeline at the same time. You can have enormous bandwidth, but it still takes all that data a few milliseconds to travel to and from places.

In first person shooter games like counter strike, your latency or ping is much more important than your bandwidth. You can get an edge on multiplayer gameplay by having a faster response time, whereas for bandwidth it doesn't matter if you can transfer at 20Mbps or 1Gbps, because the game won't use it all anyway.

Best answer: Use WPA2 - PSK with AES encryption and a long, strong password. Secondly implement MAC address validation and permit on your wireless ONLY those devices which have their MAC address entered in the wireless access point's MAC address validation table. This means you must go to the devices you wish to permit on your network, obtain their network MAC address, record them in a table for future reference (note the MAC address and the device to which it pertains) and enter the MAC address in the wireless access point Validation Table. This requires any device that wishes to be admitted to both have the strong password AND that the device's MAC address be in your validation table. If the device is lost, retired, or stolen you then delete the MAC address from the wireless access point validation table and anyone who has the device cannot be admitted to your wireless network even though he has the password.

Best answer: There are a few things that you could try here. Try using a different disk to see if the problem is with the drive, or the disk itself. If you have the same problem with a different disk, there is most likely something wrong with your disk drive. You could try to take the drive out and clean it to see if that resolves your problem, but disk drives have a lot of moving parts, so there is a lot that can go wrong with them. The simplest, quick, solution would be to load the documents on to another computer and transfer them to the one you need them on. There are also external disk drives that you can purchase for 20-30 dollars.
