You will see the fur start to come in as a fuzz then it will get longer til it finally fully grows in. It may take months to fully regrow.

Sometimes there are health issues that can cause fur to grow back slowly or not allow it to grow back at all. I had a friend who would shave her very furry dogs for the summer - one had thyroid issues and her fur would not grow back in correctly.

Getting a rabies shot is also hard on their system and your cats body is likely focused on dealing with that as well as recovering from the neutering rather than regrowing hair. If they shaved by his ear there was probably some sort of infection, matting, or other reason. This would not be something that would normally happen for a neuter.

The shaving is to remove the fur from the area of a wound or incision so it can be kept clean.

  • I cannot stand cats?! Can someone give me 10 good reasons why they like like them?

Why I strongly dislike cats: 1. I’m Allergic (Cats & Dogs) 2. The Hair. I know not all cats shed but my boyfriend’s cat sheds like crazy! I can’t deal with the hair all over everything. It makes me feel dirty. 3. The smell of urine and cat feces is DISGUSTING! and lingers. (Especially, the urine). 4. They... show more

Temperament- in my opinion, cats are not as loveable to me as dogs are. 7. I’m the BOSS and thats it. I rule my castle and not the cat.

  • Is leaving a cat outside most of the day considered neglect?

I think they take it in when they get home after a 9-5, and it looks fat enough. But it just sits by the door all day.

  • How often should you cut cat's nails?

Best answer: I trim them about every two weeks - you want to be sure that they don't get so long that they get caught in the carpet, etc. The back ones can go longer - those get done about once a month.

My cat is almost a year old. Ever since he was a kitten he has been spraying. I got him neutered at 6 months and it STILL has not stopped. I have tried vinegar and baking soda, cat urine sprays, vet visits. the vet says nothing is wrong and that it is behavioral. I really love this cat but I cannot take this anymore. it would be different if I was in a house because I wouldn't have a landlord to worry about. I alrady lost my security deposit because of this. I explained my issue to my landlord and he says since nothing else is working to rip the carpet up since its 40 year old carpet anyway. so I started ripping the carpet up. I have two litter boxes for him that I clean twice a day. Like I said I love my cat but I also have 2 children and this is not sanitary. not to mention I lost my deposit cause of this cat. would it be wrong to give the little guy away to another family? I'm considering giving it a few weeks without the carpet on to see if there is any improvement since the smell will be gone and he wont repeat in the same spot. its the entire living room carpet. anyone had this issue? what did you do about it? did you get rid of the cat? or did something else work?

I don't want to go to the vets office. I know they have tape worms and I've tried medications like Hartz and it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know of some good medicine that will work for several cats, remove the tape worms and be relatively affordable?
