I got into an argument that my daughter is too young to date someone in college. She talked back and became angry with me. I slapped her and CPS is involved because she went to the counselor the next day, told her that I disapproved of her trying to date someone. The conversation focused on why she “loves” a college boy, but the school called CPS to inform them about multiple concerns. They’re related to not only child abuse, but the fact that she’s a young girl involved with an older man.

So here's the backstory me and my girlfriend who are both 18 years old, Recently had a baby who is now 2 months old, Believe me I know lol to young. But our relationship has been Overall pretty healthy and We have a ton of support behind us. She's been living with me and my mom since the beginning of her pregnancy so almost a year now. Currently here it's my mom, my grandma, my brother, and I living here. Recently her grandma has decidied to give us one of her homes that she owns, that has been vacant for years. I've had fun customizing the house to my liking and Cleaning it up with my girlfriend. But as the "move in" days start coming near I find myself having some serious anxiety's about moving out. My girlfriend really wants to live there ebecause she says she wants her own privacy now that we have ababy and I can totally understand that. The house will also come with no rent which is also a plus. I've been so nervous about moving away from my family, in my head it's almost like I'll never see them again, But obviously I know I will, I kinda feel bad for just getting up and moving to a new house away from them, but the house is literally 5 min away from my mom's house lol. Should I just take the Leap and move Into the other house with my girlfriend. My Indecisiveness has sort been putting a strain on our relationship. I need some advice with my anxiety my mom is also supporting the move. Not sure what to do please

She's legally an adult and is in her second year of college. She won't give me any details about the father, but as far as I know he is in another relationship. What she wants is for me to travel with her (it's pretty far) so she isn't alone and help her pay. My main concern is if she regrets it and just keeping this secret in general. I'm leaning towards helping her, but I'm still so unsure. Never really thought this would happen to someone I know.

The oldest twin has already taken up the debate club and is set on following my footsteps. On the other hand, her sister (the other twin) wants to work in child care... That career choice doesn't seem fulfilling or very succesful. I don't know how she could have the siblings she does and choose child care. I really don't understand and I want to support her but I can't.

I am a 25 year old single guy with a 15 year old niece Jill, my sister’s daughter. Jill often comes to my house for help with her homework. If we finish her homework late she spends the night a my house and I take her to school the next morning. She told me she was a nervous wreck from her mom and dad fighting all the time and they were getting a divorce. She wanted to stay with me until the divorce was final. I told her that was OK with me but she needed her parents OK which I thought would never happen. However her parents thought it was best for her not to see them fighting all the time and agreed she could stay with me until there divorce was final. I was very surprised by their decision but I think they were thinking of what their fighting was doing to Jill. Jill moved in with me and has been living with me for 3 months. She is a very nice person and is no longer depressed. We have had a lot of fun time together going to school events and sporting events. Jill ask me if I would adopt her so she could stay with me permanently. I told her that I doubt if her parents would let that happen. I don’t know if you can adopt someone that has living parents. Does anyone know if that can be done? Is there a better solution than adopting her? Could she just live with me if her parents are OK with it?

And this is the first appointment for our son to see a therapist. So I can understand him going to this one. But it should be the only one he attends unless he is the only one taking him. I don't feel I have the right to say to his dad he can not go to things dealing with his child. But is my hudband wrong for saying this? Should i express that I couldn't tell my sons father he can't go?

I live with my sister and her boyfriend. Right now my dad is paying for our rent and utilities (the bills are in our names and he gives us money) so we can save our money to later invest. My sister’s boyfriend lives with us rent-free and I told my sister he should contribute. My sister and I split the grocery bill and he buys some of his own. She argues that her bf has no problem driving us places (he does sometimes pick me up from work) and says he cannot afford to pay $200 - $300 in rent even though he works full time as he is “paying off his own bills.” She also says “dad pays for everything so butt out,” and accuses me of ruining her happiness. I think this is immature as the original plan was for my dad to help my sister and me gradually move out on our own. My dad also does not approve of her boyfriend even living with us and doesn’t know that he is. Any thoughts on what I should do?? I hate being stuck in the middle :/

I never really enjoyed meat anyway (I don't mind if others do, you do you type of thing) so when I was like fourteen I decided to be vegetarian. My parents laughed at me and said when I started cooking my own meals I could, so I learned to cook but they still mock me. There's always some sort of joke during meal times and when I try to leave the table to eat elsewhere they get so mad at me and tell me to stop being so offended. Anyway, my younger sister has been learning to cook from my mom lately and gave me a "veggie burger". Once I knew it wasn't I got so angry and my parents kept saying it wasn't a big deal because I wasn't dying and my older brother just laughed and made more jokes. I'm 16 so I can't move out but it's going too far. I just don't like meat, that's it! I remember a time when I could sit down at the dinner table to discuss my day without someone demanding that I eat the steaks that are served.
