MOE, shut the **** up! And erica, your right, it probably did have a greater effect on her then just talking but I'd still try and write a letter to her... You never know, seeing you do all that might have made it worse.. My brother, boyfriend and alot of my friends drink and do drugs and it didnt make me not want to do it but the exact opposite. They all said it was a getaway, you forget your problems.. I shouldnt have listened but yeah... They've all messed up their lives and I'm trying to get clean. I'm only 14 aswell so I can see it from your sisters point of view. When my older brother did what you did (saying that I should stop drinking/doing drugs) I was angry. Furious. I thought "How could he say that when he's a drug addict himself?! How could he tell me to stop when he continues?!" Turns out, he just figuered out that drugs ruin lives. And he might not be going back to school next year cuz he cant handle it. He's 16, like my boyfriend who dropped out at 15. Im kind of in your sisters situation and i'll try and give you the best advice possible. But to be honest, I don't think there is much you can do. If she has already started doing drugs there's almost nothing you can do until she hits rock bottom and needs to get clean but if she hasnt started then tell her that you dont want her to make the same mistakes as you and apologize for what you put her through. And i really hope your clean and sober for her sake. And if your not then tell her your going to get sober and actually do it. It might be the hardest thing you've done but think of your little sister... so basically there are a few things you could do that might work:
1) Get sober (important)
2) Tell her what you think by letter and be brutally honest. She deserves to know the truth
3) Don't ged mad if she yells, it doesnt work! Stay callm!!
4) Watch over her and starts going off the rails you have to step in. Stop it as soon as it starts but also let her have her fun with friends. It's hard to tell the difference but I'm sure you will.
Good luck. I really hope it all works out! Keep us updated if you can!
