I am a combat veteran. My gf and her father think I was in Afghanistan on vacation and it just pisses me. What should I tell 'em?

I joined the Marines afterwards while she went to college. I deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 and 2013. She stayed with me. Now I'm in college and things are fine but sometimes it's hard. Let me explain: on some occasions she acts like I was on vacation there and I came home from a vacation, not from war. She told me multiple times that she saw more scariest things in life than me. She freaks out when she fails an exam or if she's late from work. Now those are problems, yes but as a combat vet sometimes I think "What is your problem?" I mean I remember the weight of the head of a 21 yrs old navy corpsman in my lap. I remember thinking that I couldn't do anything for him. I saw combat,I know what it's like. And I'm NOT saying I'm better than her because I saw combat,I'm just saying that she should appreciate more life and I noticed it's not just her. Also her father sometimes speaks about us (Marines) as if we were in Afghanistan on vacation. I change subject when it happens because I'm a polite guy but I really don't like to be treated like that by her and her family. I don't want to leave her because I love her but I went to WAR,not on vacation. Any advice?
Update: Bernd: dude,I didn't mean literally. I mean they knew I went off to war, yes, but they just disminish that. They think I was just sitting in an office all day long, while I actually saw combat
