In many situations, people who feel their lives are out of control do not take the positive step to get help. You are fortunately not in that group. Great on your part to reach out for support for yourself. If your mom, originally, was open to you seeing a therapist, then try again to ask her to make the phone call for an appointment. Another strategy is to talk with your school counselor for help such as, persuading your mom to set up an appointment with a counselor. If you have a relationship with another family member, like an aunt, maybe she could help you.
