My parents don’t want me to learn how to swim?

I’m so mad at my parents. I want to learn how to swim so i can save myself if I drown. But they’re totally against it since I have seizures. I haven’t had seizures for over a year now. They tell me, “Neither the teacher or your friends will care if you have a seizure,” yet they want me to walk and take the bus... show more I’m so mad at my parents. They tell me, “Neither the teacher or your friends will care if you have a seizure,” yet they want me to walk and take the bus places. If they think my friends and the teacher won’t care if I have a seizure, what makes them think people who don’t even know me will care if I get one on the bus or while walking?
Update: I'm 20. I'm taking lessons at college. I only get seizures in the morning; 30 minutes to 2 hours after I wake up. I take the lessons in the afternoon. The chances of me getting seizures is really low unless a I take a nap before I go to class, I skip a dose of medication, drink/do drugs or am extremely... show more I'm 20. The chances of me getting seizures is really low unless a I take a nap before I go to class, I skip a dose of medication, drink/do drugs or am extremely exhausted. I don't do any of those things. I wanted to do what was best for me. If someone drowns, I want to save them. If I drown, I want to save myself.
Update 2: maybe I overthought things. My parents were worried and I wanted to tell them that things would be ok but didn't know how to tell them without getting into an argument.
